I design and maintain websites, primarily using Umbraco and .NET. My experience includes working with clients such as Marstons Pubs, nPower, National Grid, FuelGenie, D3O, QED Environmental Systems, and more. I handle the full development stack, building frontends with Webpack, integrating them into Umbraco, configuring subscriptions and resources in Azure, and deploying through DevOps.

  • Worked on multilingual websites, leveraging Umbraco's language features and extending them with a custom package that uses AI to translate content pages when editors save them.
  • Led the migration of onsite DevOps and hosting to Microsoft Azure, including setting up DevOps pipelines and using Bicep files to standardize and expedite the creation of cloud infrastructure, reducing set up time from hours to minutes.
  • Maintained a base project template for new site rollouts, a Visual Studio project that includes APIs for quickly creating Umbraco modules and using the Umbraco API to generate essential doctypes such as SEO, sitemaps, and modular pages.
  • Designed and implemented an interactive Carbon Intensity Dashboard for National Grid, leveraging Azure Static Web Apps and a .NET backend. Integrated real-time data from National Grid APIs via Azure Functions and Cosmos DB.

I started Junior Developer at ESOS Ltd, which led to a Web Developer role at Pertemps, the parent company of ESOS. I worked with Umbraco and .NET.

  • Built and maintained over 80 Umbraco websites across the Pertemps Network Group.
  • Trained Junior Developers and created a documentation portal to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
  • Maintained a base project template for new site rollouts, which contained all the core functionality required for a recruitment site.
  • Implemented GIT version control to improve efficiency.
  • Developed an internal training portal, hosted on Pertemps intranet will full Active Directory integration.
  • Developed features for the websites, including a branch locator, job-saving functionality, and created the 'Crack the Code' campaign, which was entered for an award.
Temporary Web Developer - Signis Group (Tri.x), Coventry
Sept 2015 - Feb 2016

Signis Group author, host and maintain over 200 online procedure manuals for the care sector. My masters degree dissertation project was to overhaul their website template, so I returned to Signis Group to implement this.

  • Implemented a website template that meets the same accessibility standard as government websites (WCAG AA).
  • Built a custom PHP/MySQL CMS to maintain all the links throughout their websites.
  • Ensured the sites were responsive and mobile friendly whilst also being supported on browsers as old as IE6.
